Snow In Vegas?!?!?!?

Some of you may say..."Why on earth does she have so many pictures of snow? Big deal we see snow all the time!" Well, I took so many (these are hardly any of them) because I had NO IDEA that it was going to KEEP snowing!!! My kids were so excited to see it fall from the sky. Little did we know!

And so it began...

and continued...

and kept right on going! My kids had a snowball fight right next to our pool?!?!!? The rocks reminded me of the polar bear exhibit at Sea World. That was not a "little" bit of snow piled on my car! The tree that Caitlyn is standing by lost the whole front half of it from the weight of the snow. The picture of the kids under a tree is of them shaking the snow off of another tree.

Below the daytime pictures are of the next morning. The valley view was spectacular!!! The night shots are of the snow two days later. The schools were closed this day and the snow melted by the afternoon. It was a wasted day but the kids were glad to be home from school. This is the day that there was snow on the Las Vegas Strip! We got most of the snow the first day and the east side of the valley didn't get any.
It was so much fun to be living in Vegas at this time. I never thought we would be singing "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" when we moved here!
