Today I took Andrew's picture before school because I really thought he looked "cool" in his basketball shirt. Andrew is in FIRST grade and is 6. Can you believe that? He is currently playing basketball with his dad as one of the coaches. He is not a fan of running up and down the court constantly, but he does it and it trying really hard to earn a hot wheels race track if he makes a basket. At home at night (every night) he can't go to bed without snuggling with his mommy or daddy. He prefers to be with mommy because she tickles his tummy, but daddy tells really great stories to him. We read to him or with him every night and he has really improved greatly in his reading by doing this. He is having a tough year in school because he is really (by his age) supposed to be in kindergarten. Because of his size we decided to go ahead and start him last year in Kinder. We really feel it would be best to have him stay back but the teachers are all advising us not to do that.....what to do?!?!?! He is already the big kid in the class and if we hold him he will REALLY be the big kid. BUT, his dad did it and look how AWESOME he turned out. We will pray about it and go from there.
We are so thankful everyday for a son in our lives and a brother for the girls. We can't wait to see what the future brings for him. I am SURE it will be awesome!!!!!!
